Valentine's Day

It's time to put out the Hearts for Valentine's Day!
I have a new Heart for the front door.  I do love this red frame though!!!
I made this cork heart a couple of years ago.  It hangs in my kitchen for the holiday.
I am entertaining Duplicate Bridge next month so let the decorating begin...

Been Gone Too Long!

Happy Birthday Quilts for each of my children.  Given to them for 2015 Christmas.
Saw this pattern on the internet and put it together with 4" half square triangles.
This was the quilt I made my children for their 2014 Christmas Present.
This was the quilt I made my children for this 2012 Christmas Present.
I made this quilt for my daughter in New York.  It is the turning twenty pattern.
I  have this quilt hanging in my closet.  Haven't decided who is going to get it.
 My Christmas Present quilt 2015.

Sunday's project

Yesterday I painted in the garage since it was so nice out.
I made 6 Texas Flag pillows out of Burlap for the patio.
Flags on the front side and polka dots on the backs.
All I have left to do is stuff them and glue them together.

Ready for Valentine's Day!

Yesterday I put all the snowmen away and brought out the Valentine Decorations.
The wooden heart basket on the left my Dad made for me years ago.
I put our little John Clark gnome called"Valentine" front and center.
I love staging this little table.
My old carpenters box is filled with hearts that I have made plus candles and corks.
I have made several heart pillows through the years and this is one of my favorites.
A couple of years ago I made the heart table topper.
The hearts hanging on the hutch are made out of brown paper bag and painted.
The heart garland was another fun project one year.
My powder room is where I have some of my framed Valentine Cards.
Finally a grouping of all the hearts I have made over the years.

House quilt

I have finally finished with the applique on the border of this quilt.
My sewing machine has been humming during this cold weather
spell we are having here in Texas.
It feels good to be getting lots of loose end projects completed.

Alphabet Quilt

I found this Alphabet Quilt pattern on line and decided to make it.  It was fun using up all my scraps.
I also made a t-shirt quilt for my granddaughter.
I will post a picture of that quilt later.
I am looking forward to the cooler weather coming this week.

Great Company and Good Food!

Rich and Debbie from Omaha flew into McKinney on Friday afternoon in their new plane.
Friday night we had dinner at Jasper's on Legacy.  Appetizers were Maytag Blue cheese Chips!
They were delicious and I don't even like Blue Cheese.

Saturday morning Debbie and I went to Downtown McKinney to shop.  We found an interesting craft.  We took a picture, then met the guys at "Cadillac Pizza" in downtown McKinney.  We went home and painted birds.  I love them!
 More birds on Slate.
I have this one sitting in front of my kitchen sink.
Saturday eve we drove over to Adriatica and had a drink at "Harry's on the Harbor"
before going back to our house to prepare dinner.
We had risotto with Salmon and Cod.
It was a great weekend.
Monday I got busy in the garage since the weather was cool.
I acquired this chair and the planter below from a friend.
I painted a saying on the chair back and touched up the plant hanger with paint and new flowers.
We hung it on the wall on our patio.  The chair has a place in my laundry room.
