Hearts

My friend Debbie sent me a picture of a cork heart she made.
Since I have lots and lots of corks I decided to make one.
I think I am going to keep it up all year.
I will be hanging it in my kitchen.
I crafted these hearts made from brown paper wrap.
The little red heart on the jute bow is a heart yoyo.
A couple of these hearts are going to Omaha for Abbie to give to her teacher
and for Reese to give to her caretaker.
I had to hang one in my kitchen.
I have a few more yoyo hearts left so will probably make a few more.
Are you getting ready for Valentine's Day?

 Deb brought the rice.
Steve and Tre' made the black beans.
It was a great Birthday Party.

Block of the Month House Quilt is finished!!!

It is finally finished and I could not be more pleased.
If you click on the picture it will become larger.
I added the sunflowers on the September block.
Every door has a button for the door knob.

The yoyo flowers are in the Basket for the May Block.
The quilting Pattern that my friend used looks like clouds in the sky.

On a few blocks I had to add beads along the vines on top of the windows.
On the majority of the blocks the pattern called for embroidery flowers on the vines.
Pretty blue beads for the July block.
Red beads for the February block.
Now to figure out where I am going to put it.
Maybe hang it on a wall in one of the spare bedrooms.

Knitting

I learned how to knit this summer and I have really enjoyed it this winter.
I am making these dish cloths for Valentines Day.

I have made several of these lace ruffly scarves.
They were great to give for Christmas gifts.
