This and That

Debbie, from Omaha, coveted my ostrich egg when she was here last weekend.
So I called my sister in law, Deb and asked her to get me one more.  She brought me 4!
She wants one and so does Terrie who owns the Ostrich.  So this past weekend I boiled eggs.
I found the stands at Goodwill in Keller while I visited with Bonnie and Marcia this past Tuesday.
While at Marcia's I took a picture and pattern of the Shamrock she made for her front door.
I have mine made but have not hung it yet.  I will do that today.
I did change my horseshoes around so that all the luck is not falling out!
This is the project Marcia and Bon were working on when I went over to see them Tuesday.
Marcia got a new Silhoutte Cameo for Christmas and is having fun with it.
They cover this whole wall with this Rod Stewart song.
I can't wait to visit and see the finished project.

Weekend Fun

Debbie and Rich flew into McKinney for the weekend.
Thursday night we had a Valentine Dinner.
Friday we went to Dallas for lunch at "Stampede 66".
We have so much fun when they come to Texas.
Saturday we shopped in Downtown McKinney.
We could have been clapping our hands all weekend.
More Shopping.  We have to make this!
We spent lots of time on the patio with a glass of wine.
Thanks Rich and Debbie for making the trip to McKinney.
Another memorable weekend, good food, good conversation and laughs and of course, wine...

Garden Vegetables from Mr.Greenjeans

My Neighbor Lance invited me over last night to raid his winter garden.
He is going to dig it up Sunday to prepare it for the summer vegetable garden.
I reaped spinach, two different kinds of lettuce, small cabbage,
carrots, onions, turnips and broccoli.
Lance you are our neighborhood Mr. Green jeans.

Super Bowl YoYo Hearts

It seems like I can not just sit and watch sports on TV.
I have to be doing something with my  hands.
Lately I have been knitting cotton dish cloths but yesterday during the Super Bowl
I decided I need to replenish my stash of yoyo hearts.
To make yoyo hearts you need these "Quick Yoyo Makers".
This is my new stash of hearts ready for another project.
This is a close up of the little heart.
Here is a picture of both sizes.
I used the little yoyo hearts that I had on the paper hearts I made this year.
I sent two of these hearts to Abbie and Reese to give to their teachers.
The paper hearts are made from brown bag wrapping paper.
I sew them up on the sewing machine and stuff with a little polyester fiberfill.
Hot glue on jute bows, yoyo hearts, beads and a jute hanger for the back.  So easy!
